Bluestone Villa Façade Restoration

THE RESTORATION OF THIS 1920 BLUESTONE VILLA FAÇADE INVOLVED EXTENSIVE WORK TO REVIVE ITS HISTORIC CHARACTER

This project involved the demolition of a sunroom addition and the existing verandah structure. The original bluestone walls were cleared of worn sealer and repointed, while the painted brickwork was stripped back and restored.

A new bullnose verandah was reinstated, featuring hand-routed posts with Victorian-style timber trim to complement the cast iron lacework. The verandah incorporates heritage galvanised roof sheets and lead flashings. The main section of the villa was also re-roofed with scribed ridge caps and ogee-style gutters to provide a distinctive and refined finish.

Hand-made concrete bullnose edging was laid to frame the bluestone pavers to complete the restoration.
